By accessing and using DeviceMeet, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

DeviceMeet is a web-based file sharing and messaging platform that allows users to:

  • Share files directly between devices in real-time
  • Send text messages in temporary chat rooms
  • Connect multiple devices for collaborative file sharing
  • Transfer files without creating an account

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use DeviceMeet only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Share illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law
  • Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
  • Use the service to spam, phish, or distribute unsolicited messages
  • Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service

3.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • All files you share through DeviceMeet
  • All messages you send in chat rooms
  • Ensuring you have the right to share the content you upload
  • Complying with applicable laws regarding the content you share

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you share through DeviceMeet. By using our service, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to transmit and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

4.2 Our Service

DeviceMeet and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DeviceMeet and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using DeviceMeet, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

5.1 Temporary Nature

Please note that:

  • All rooms are temporary and automatically deleted when empty
  • Messages are stored temporarily and deleted when rooms close
  • Files are temporarily stored during active sessions only
  • We do not permanently store your shared content

6. File Size and Usage Limits

While DeviceMeet aims to provide unlimited file sharing, we reserve the right to:

  • Implement reasonable usage limits to prevent abuse
  • Restrict file sizes if necessary for service stability
  • Limit the number of simultaneous connections per room
  • Throttle or restrict users who abuse the service

7. Service Availability

7.1 No Guarantee of Uptime

We strive to keep DeviceMeet available at all times, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • That defects will be corrected
  • That the service is free of viruses or other harmful components
  • Successful file transfers in all circumstances

7.2 Maintenance and Updates

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
  • Perform maintenance with or without notice
  • Update or change the service features

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DeviceMeet is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or availability

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeviceMeet and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Loss or damage arising from your use of the service
  • Any content shared by users
  • Unauthorized access to your transmissions or data
  • Service interruptions or errors

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DeviceMeet and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you share through the service

11. Termination

11.1 Your Rights

You may stop using DeviceMeet at any time. Simply close your browser or leave the room.

11.2 Our Rights

We may terminate or suspend your access to DeviceMeet immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Engage in prohibited activities
  • Abuse the service

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved through:

  • Good faith negotiation between the parties

14. Changes to Terms

Your continued use of DeviceMeet after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DeviceMeet regarding the use of the service.

17. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
